APW-CTS wins USDA Civil 3D Contract

October 1, 2007 -- APW-CTS Professional Service (Under Contract as Carris Technology Solutions) were recently successful in a competitive bid to provide learning, support and knowledge management services to the US Department of Agriculture NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Service). NRCS' challenge is to train and implement AutoCAD Civil 3D to 1500 users.

APW-CTS will act as the Sub to Autodesk Consulting.

APW-CTS is responsible for:

Development of content in a custom USDA NRCS vBook that shows the inner workings of their drawing template, or Civil 3D standard (which APW-CTS has developed as part of a separate contract)

Develop content in a custom USDA NRCS vBook with exercises and downloadable data sets based on the work that NRCS most often produces

Provide live face-to-face training, that will be captured in 40 x 1 hour segments for publishing in a Custom USDA NRCS vBook.

Provide 1500 staff with a library of pre-written AutoCAD Civil 3D 2008 vBooks, along with the Custom USDA NRCS vBooks.

Provide technical support to staff such that responses are published back to the appropriate vBook. Update notifications allow APW-CTS to inform all subscribers when content changes.

All organizations, APW-CTS works with, share the pre-written vBooks and hence a growing database of knowledge that gets richer with use. When an employee asks a question they are investing in the organizations knowledge.
